There’s never a good time for a zombie apocalypse… When the poor sleepy town of Little Haven has their Christmas festivities interrupted by hoards of the undead, it’s up to Anna (Ella Hunt) and her friends to fight, slash and sing their way to survival, moving through the flesheaters in a desperate race to reach their loved ones – and busting out in a musical dance numbers along the way.
An independent film that’s made waves in the UK, ultimately landing Best Picture and Best Actress nominations from Scotland’s BAFTA Awards, Anna and the Apocalypse “fresh brains and a lot of heart in the crowded zombie genre – not to mention a fun genre mashup, populated by rootable characters” (Rotten Tomatoes Critical Consensus).
