From Stuart Gordon, legendary director of Re-Animator and From Beyond, comes 1987 horror classic Dolls!

On a dark and stormy night, a car carrying young Judy Bower (Carrie Lorraine), her abusive father, and her cruel stepmother breaks down in the middle of the woods. Searching for help, they stumble upon a creepy old castle owned by elderly doll maker Gabriel and his wife Hilary, who offer the family a place to stay for the evening.  After being joined by another group of people whose car also broke down in the rain, well-mannered Judy tries to make the best of it by playing with Gabriel’s intricately-designed dolls, unaware that they have a mind of their own – and a gruesome lack of patience for rude and inconsiderate people like her parents.

Featuring impressive stop-motion animation, game performances by Guy Rolfe and Hilary Mason as the creepy homeowners, and director Gordon’s signature blend of gory horror and pitch-black comedy, Dolls was a favored staple in the late-80’s wave of theatrical genre releases that saw new life on VHS by lovers of B-movie horror films.
