In this hilarious and thrilling send-up of both Star Trek and the cult fandom it inspired, Tim Allen, Sigourney Weaver, and Alan Rickman lead a impressive cast as the stars of the hit 1970s sci-fi show Galaxy Quest, who find themselves decades later scraping a living with re-runs and sci-fi conventions. When the “crew” of the fictional ship suddenly find themselves beamed aboard a very real alien spacecraft, they learn that their extra terrestrial hosts have watched episodes of Galaxy Quest – and may have taken the on-screen adventures a little too literally…
