GROUNDHOG DAY: 25th Anniversary Screening – on Groundhog Day!

February 2, 2018 @ 7:30 pm

Last year we screened Harold Ramis’ classic Groundhog Day on Groundhog Day.  And the year before that.  And the year before that.  It’s almost as if history keeps repeating itself, over and over again…

Cue the Sonny & Cher!  Celebrate 25 years of Bill Murray and Punxsutawney Phil in the hilarious – and cleverly existential – 1993 comedy hit, Groundhog Day!  Murray is at his crotchety best as Phil Connors, a weatherman who reluctantly goes out to cover the annual emergence of the weather-predicting groundhog from its hole, only to get mysteriously caught in a time loop that finds him doomed to relive the same day over and over again, set off by the increasingly devastating sound of Sonny & Cher’s “I Got You Babe” through the radio.  At first exhausted by this phenomenon, Phil quickly realizes there are several ways to use it to his advantage – but what if the only way to break the loop is for this selfish man to do the right thing?   Rounding out the cast are Chris Elliott and Andie MacDowell stars as co-workers Rita and Larry, and scene-stealing Stephen Tobolowsky as Ned “It’s a doozy!” Ryerson, in an original comedy that took home the BAFTA for Best Screenplay.

One night only, Friday February 2nd at 7:30pm!  Tickets now available at box office, or online by clicking here!
