After his uncle wins the rights to failing UHF television station Channel 62, his aunt convinces him to give George the job of station manager in the hopes that it might give him a taste of adulthood. Despite the initial challenges George and his misfit employees face, the unexpected success of a children’s game show shoots them to success – much to the wrath of villainous R.J. Fletcher (Kevin McCarthy). the CEO of major VHF station Channel 8.  Will R.J. and his minions destroy Channel 62’s chance for greatness?

Weird Al, the king of music parody, does not disappoint with a comedy brimming with spoofs of 80’s movies and commercials in the dog-eat-dog world of television programming – from “Conan the Librarian” to “Wheel of Fish” – as well as adding his trademark musical talent to the soundtrack.  Despite initial panning by critics, UHF found an instant family of fans, and in the last thirty years has become a beloved 80’s cult classic.
