Natalie Portman stars in the stylish and mesmerizing new drama by director Brady Corbet (The Childhood of a Leader), Vox Lux.

When 13-year-old music prodigy Celeste lends her vocal talents to a memorial service after she survives a horrific tragedy, it kicks off a series of events that finds her spinning down a rabbit hole towards pop stardom.  With the help of her songwriter sister (Stacy Martin) and talent manager (Jude Law), Celeste finds herself on a meteoric rise to fame – with all the attention, excess, and destruction that comes with it. Almost 20 years after the tragedy that led to the unlikely launch of her career, an adult Celeste (Natalie Portman) – now a seemingly indestructible icon – sets off on a tour in support of her sixth album, a compendium of sci-fi anthems entitled “Vox Lux,” while grappling to navigate motherhood, monolithic fame, and mounting madness.

“Vox Lux is an antidote to other recent films on music stardom, eschewing the usual narrative route to give its audience both the joy and discomfort around the role of trauma in addiction and the pressure of fame.” — Shelagh Rowan-Legg, ScreenAnarchy

“Vox Lux will likely go down as one of the year’s most invigorating and perplexing films.” — Courtney Smalls, Cinema Axis

“Portman arrives in the film like a force of nature, tearing into her role with reckless abandon. Portman is so much fun to watch behaving badly that viewers may actually root for her to self-destruct; she is that entertaining.” — Gary M. Kramer, Salon.com
