Calling all lovers of horror cinema! The ninth annual Horrible Imaginings Film Festival returns to Southern California August 31 – September 2 – at its new home, The Frida Cinema!
A three-day celebration of the horror genre, showcasing short and feature-length films (it’s not too late to submit your film!), Horrible Imaginings Film Festival’s mission is to amplify voices that express those emotions that make life a little more challenging – fear, anxiety, despair, desperation, dark fantasy, unhealthy longing, terror…those parts of the human condition all of us recognize, but few of us enjoy talking about. Horror cinema has proven itself a fascinating universe where creatives explore those darker feelings, and the HIFF team sincerely believes the sharing of dark stories in a community setting of diverse artists and audience members not only exorcises these emotions, but also helps to foster empathy through connectivity, linked experiences, and films that chill the bones while often exploring deeper themes.
One Day Passes are only $35, or you can enjoy the entire festival with a Three Day Pass for only $75! Seats are limited, and the Festival generally fills up long before the films are announced, so act quickly – get your passes today!
