Throughout my life, art – and cinema in particular – has provided me more than just a source of mere entertainment. While there’s certainly nothing wrong with watching a movie for its entertainment value alone, cinema has provided a dependable place for me to turn to in my darkest times and biggest trials.
What makes neon so alluring? Is it the distinct glow it projects against the dark night sky? Its plentiful radiant colors? The way it evokes the bright technicolor allure of the future yet somehow also recalls the grungy aesthetics of the past?
