Horrible Imaginings Film Festival – Short Films: “Monsters, Science Fiction, and The Beyond” Block

Whatever we think about the genre, most of us can agree: sometimes we just want a good monster, a bump in the night, an examination of what might exist after we die. These questions are the hallmarks of the genre, and we can never let a year go by without giving classic terrors their due. Oh, the delicious variety contained in these titles! We have a look at the zombie genre from the perspective of an Indiginous director and lead actors in the appropriately-named “Zombies and Indians,” the quicky found footage terror of “Nest,” a wicked twist on classic Greek Mythology in “Ulysses,” and even questions of existential purpose and identity with “PREFIGURED” and “How to be Alone.”
