The ultra-violent thriller that had audiences howling at Sundance and Toronto International Film Festival, writer/director Coralie Fargeat’s Revenge comes to The Frida!

Jen (Matilda Lutz, Rings) is looking forward to a romantic getaway with her well-off boyfriend, but paradise is disrupted when his sleazy friends arrive for an unannounced hunting trip.  Tension mounts in the house until the situation abruptly – and viciously – intensifies, culminating in a shocking act that leaves Jen left for dead. Unfortunately for the guys, Jen survives, and sets out to exact an appropriately bloody vengeance.

“Revenge slices and dices genre tropes, working within an exploitation framework while adding a timely — yet never less.  91% Aggregate Rating.” – Rotten Tomatoes’ Critics Consensus

“Ample style, remarkable tension, decidedly French black humor, and more blood than I believe the human body actually contains.” – Brian Tallerico,

“Tautly controlled and wildly over-the-top, executed with flashy style, sly visual humor and a subversive feminist sensibility.” – David Rooney, Hollywood Reporter
