From visionary director Masaaki Yuasa comes Ride Your Wave, a deeply emotional anime film.
When a sudden fire breaks out at Hinako’s apartment building, she is rescued by handsome firefighter Minato. The two fall in love, but Minato tragically loses his life in an accident at sea. Hinako mourns him until she sings a song by the sea and Minato appears in the water. From then on, she is able to summon him in any watery surface as soon as she sings, but can the two really remain together forever?
Beautifully animated and lovingly told, Ride Your Wave is a strong new offering from the director of The Night is Short, Walk on Girl.
All screenings will be presented in Japanese.
