Douglas Burke’s cult independent favorite Surfer: Teen Confronts Fear returns in stark black and white!
A homeless teenager (Sage Burke) is crippled by his trauma from a surfing accident when he was young. Unable to overcome the waves again, he tries to make a living fishing. One day however, the ghost of his father washes up on shore and tries to persuade him to confront his fear and go back to surfing.
With surreal storytelling, bizarre non-sequiturs, and a string of passionate performances, Surfer is an inscrutable cinematic experience that must be seen to be believed.
