Revisit Joe Dante’s game-changing horror film The Howling, presented in a new 4K restoration just in time for its 40th anniversary.
Dee Wallace (Cujo, E.T. The Extra Terrestrial) stars as Karen White, a Los Angeles television journalist who suffers a terrifying ordeal while aiding police in apprehending a serial killer, a traumatic experience which results in the loss of her memory. At her doctor’s recommendation, Karen and her husband travel to an isolated psychiatric retreat called The Colony, led by Dr. George Waggner (Patrick Macnee), in the hopes that Karen might regain her memory and begin to heal. Meanwhile, Karen’s colleague Chris (Dennis Dugan) investigates the bizarre circumstances surrounding her shock – and soon discovers a dark secret that threatens to be revealed under the light of the full moon…
Featuring outstanding creature effects, The Howling remains a staple of the werewolf genre, brimming with classic scares and laughs.
