Just this last July weekend, The Frida Cinema’s staff stormed the main hall at Midsummer Scream in Long Beach! For those not familiar, Midsummer Scream is an annual, weekend long Halloween & Horror convention. It showcases the diversity of Southern California’s haunt and horror community, while inviting fans from around the world to experience non-stop spooky fun with over 350 exhibitors, a dozen mini-haunts and attractions, panels, presentations, live performances, and more!
We brought out posters, lobby cards of upcoming screenings, stickers, candy, and lots of other giveaways for the thousands of awesome people that dropped by our booth! Our goal was to connect with both people that have never heard of our theater and those of you that have not only heard of The Frida, but actively support us! We loved seeing you all!
Below are some links to upcoming horror films we have for the rest of the year at the theater. Don’t worry, we have plenty more to announce very soon!
Camp Frida: Holiday Horrors (our yearly 12 hour horror marathon!)
Horrorbuzz presents: Alien: Director’s Cut
See It On 16mm and Rendezvous presents: Night of the Living Dead on 16mm!
Horrorbuzz presents: Halloween III: Season of The Witch
Halloween Hangover Weekend (For Those Of You That Can’t Let Go Of October) featuring The Monster Squad, Basket Case, and a brand new 4K restoration of John Carpenter’s The Thing!
