Bruce Banner (Eric Bana), a genetics researcher with a tragic past, suffers massive radiation exposure in his laboratory that causes him to transform into a raging green monster when he gets angry. As Banner loses further control of himself, his lab partner Betty Ross (Jennifer Connelly) attempts to prevent armed forces from destroying him, well before Banner's corrupt father (Nick Nolte) does.
Utilizing experimental editing and evocatively stylized storytelling, Ang Lee lends Hulk a distinct air of melancholy that has fermented with time as one of the most formidable entries in the comic book genre.
