Sensory Friendly Screenings: Elf 20th Anniversary

Sensory Friendly Screenings: Elf 20th Anniversary

The Frida Cinema, with support from the Doreen D. Marshall Fund for Youth, presents Sensory Friendly Screenings—unique movie presentations where we keep our auditorium lights on, turn our sound levels down, and invite our audience members to get up, dance, walk, and move about at their will! Our next film in this series will be 2003's Elf!

When young Buddy (Will Ferrell) falls into Santa's (Ed Asner) gift sack on Christmas Eve, he's transported back to the North Pole and raised as a toy-making elf by Santa's helpers. But as he grows into adulthood, he can't shake the nagging feeling that he doesn't belong. Buddy vows to visit Manhattan and find his real dad, a workaholic publisher (James Caan).

The Frida Cinema thanks the Doreen D. Marshall Fund for Youth for supporting this series, and Orange County Community Foundation, Mr. Donald Lane, New Vista School, New Vista Career Academy, Spirit League, and OC Asperger's Group for their partnership.
