A stylish road movie drenched in 90s-teen-disaffection, The Doom Generation stars James Duval and Rose McGowan as teenage lovers Jordan White and Amy Blue. After a raucous fight at a Los Angeles concert, the pair find themselves in the company of handsome drifter Xavier Red (Johnathon Schaech), who soon reveals himself as a magnet for for chaotic and often violent situations. As the trio embark on a voyage to nowhere, they encounter eccentric characters and surreal situations, all while both finding themselves increasingly drawn to their mysterious and alluring new companion. Highlighted by a celebrated soundtrack featuring a blend of 1990s shoegaze, ethereal, and industrial acts, The Doom Generation is an audacious, wildly entertaining, and often hilarious downward spiral that serves as a poetic, kaleidoscopic snapshot of a very specific time and place in 90s music and style.
