Things get queer and witchy in Léa Mysius' new supernatural coming-of-age film, The Five Devils.
Vicky (Sally Dramé) is a young girl with the strangest of gifts: an ability to recreate any scent she finds, collecting them within labelled jars. This scent includes that of her mother's (Adèle Exarchopoulos), whom she has an everlasting bond with. When Vicky's father's sister (Swala Emati) is released from prison, the capturing of her scent prompts Vicky to travel into her own memories that contain the secret to who she really is.
Nominated for the Queer Palm at the 2022 Cannes Film Festival, The Five Devils is a transfixing and powerful take on youth.
