While living on a remote and mysterious New England island in the 1890s, two lighthouse keepers (Robert Pattinson and Willem Dafoe) try to maintain their sanity as tensions rise during an endless storm.
Shot with lenses from the early 20th century, the black and white 35mm cinematography of The Lighthouse creates a hypnotic and hallucinatory atmosphere that lets the viewer experience the eerie effects of the island right along with the characters.
