Ring in summer with phantoms and lost love in Charlotte Le Bon’s coming-of-age film, Falcon Lake, fresh from its premiere in the Director’s Fortnight program at the 2022 Cannes Film Festival.
Bastien (Joseph Engel) is a shy teenager on a summer vacation, experiencing the joy and pain of young adulthood. When he forges an unlikely bond with an older girl named Chloé (Sara Montpetit), Bastien is unexpectedly thrust into a tale of ghosts, love, and what intertwines the two.
Based on the graphic novel Une sœur by Bastien Vivès, Falcon Lake is as heartfelt and atmospheric as contemporary coming-of-age films get.
