Cinematic Void Presents Angel + Freeway Double Feature Friday Night!

Have this article read to you, listen to it like a podcast

Our friends at Cinematic Void present a rollicking double feature of Robert Vincent O’Neil’s Angel and Matthew Bright’s 1996 black comedy Freeway!

Angel: Molly (Donna Wilkes), a high schooler, secretly earns her living as Angel, a street prostitute whose only family and friends are the ones she works with on the streets. Everything changes when Molly becomes the target of a serial killer of young prostitutes.

Freeway: Following the arrest of her mother, Ramona (Amanda Plummer), young Vanessa Lutz (Reese Witherspoon) decides to go in search of her estranged grandmother. On the way, she is given a ride by school counselor Bob Wolverton (Kiefer Sutherland). During the journey, Lutz begins to realize that Bob is the notorious I-5 Killer and manages to escape by shooting him several times. Wounded but still very much alive, Bob pursues Lutz across the state in this modern retelling of Little Red Riding Hood.

Angel + Freeway screens Friday, March 29th.
