Thirteen Ghosts

Creepy AF Presents 2001’s Thir13een Ghosts Thursday Night!

Have this article read to you, listen to it like a podcast

On Thursday, the 13th of July, our friends at the Creepy AF show are going to venture back to the days of 2001 nu-horror, as they present Steve Beck’s remake of Thir13een Ghosts.

Arthur (Tony Shaloub) and his two children, Kathy (Shannon Elizabeth) and Bobby (Alec Roberts), inherit his Uncle Cyrus’s estate: a glass house that serves as a prison to 12 ghosts. When the family, accompanied by Bobby’s Nanny and an attorney, enter the house they find themselves trapped inside an evil machine “designed by the devil and powered by the dead” to open the Eye of Hell. Aided by Dennis (Matthew Lillard), a ghost hunter, and his rival Kalina (Embeth Davidtz), a ghost rights activist out to set the ghosts free, the group must do what they can to get out of the house alive.

One of the definitive titles of Robert Zemeckis’ Dark Castle Entertainment banner, Thir13en Ghosts is a rousingly spooky and entertaining product of its time. Tickets are (appropriately) $13!
