See It On 16mm Presents Dementia 13 and The Screaming Skull Double Feature Thursday!

Have this article read to you, listen to it like a podcast

Our friends at See It On 16mm return for another night of back-to-back thrills with a DOUBLE FEATURE of 1963’s Dementia 13, followed by 1958’s The Screaming Skull — presented on vintage 16mm film! Join us for an unforgettable journey into the macabre, where the past comes alive and every shadow hides a creeping terror…

An early spookfest from legendary filmmaker Francis Ford Coppola, Dementia 13 is a chilling gothic horror that delves into the dark secrets of an Irish family. Scheming to secure her late husband’s inheritance, widow Louise Haloran (Luana Anders) joins her late husband’s family at their eerie castle to commemorate the anniversary of his sister’s mysterious drowning. As Louise manipulates the family to cover her tracks, the castle’s sinister past resurfaces, leading to a series of gruesome murders. Masterfully directed by Coppola, Dementia 13 is notable for its atmospheric setting, surprising twists, and haunting score by Ronald Stein.

Next up is director Alex Nicol’s equally atmospheric The Screaming Skull, a classic horror film that combines supernatural elements with psychological thrills. The story follows newlyweds Eric and Jenni Whitlock as they move into Eric’s ancestral mansion. Jenni is soon tormented by eerie apparitions, and the chilling presence of a screaming skull, that appear to be linked to the mysterious death of Eric’s first wife.

This special double-feature presentation on 16mm film promises a night of classic horror and suspense, capturing the nostalgic charm and eerie allure of these retro cinematic gems.

Dementia 13 + The Screaming Skull double feature screens Thursday, July 11th.
