Class is back in session with our Back to School Triple Feature featuring high school classics 10 Things I Hate About You, She’s The Man, and Easy A! Whether you’re a theater kid, a jock, or the queen of the rumor mill, this syllabus has something for everyone.
First Period: 10 Things I Hate About You
It’s Verona High, baby—where detention is a battlefield, prom is war, and dating is a full-contact sport. Julia Stiles is the no-nonsense Kat Stratford, and Heath Ledger is the bad-boy-with-a-heart-of-gold hired to win her over. Loosely based on The Taming of the Shrew, this late-‘90s rom-com is a can’t-miss classic. You’ll hate how much you love it.
Second Period: She’s the Man
Get ready for gender-swapping hijinks, soccer tryouts, and one extremely confused Channing Tatum. Amanda Bynes is Viola, who enrolls in an elite boarding school disguised as her twin brother to prove that girls can kick it just as hard as the boys. Inspired by Twelfth Night, this 2000s gem is absurdly quotable.
Third Period: Easy A
Nathaniel Hawthorne meets high school gossip in this whip-smart modern spin on The Scarlet Letter. Emma Stone broke out big as Olive Penderghast, a straight-A student who leans into the rumor mill and reinvents herself as the school’s most infamous non-it-girl. With a hilarious script, heart-of-gold parents, and a Ferris Bueller-style narration that never lets up, Easy A will get you the extra credit you’re looking for!
Doors open at 5:00PM and the movies begin at 6:00PM. $20 gets you access to all three films back-to-back-to-back!
