Our Page To Screen series keeps on rolling into the new year as we present the 2020 rendition of Emma., starring Frida favorites Anya Taylor-Joy, Mia Goth, and Josh O’Connor!

Believing herself a skilled matchmaker, Emma (Taylor-Joy) meddles in the romantic lives of those around her, particularly her naive friend Harriet Smith (Goth), leading to a series of misunderstandings and heartbreaks. However, her own feelings become complicated when she discovers her affection for the honorable and candid Mr. Knightley (Johnny Flynn). With its sumptuous costume design, sharp wit, and a vibrant color palette, Emma was praised for its fresh interpretation of the beloved novel and earned an Academy Award nomination for Best Costume Design.

After the film, stick around for a discussion with Frida Staff Writer/Editor Reggie Peralta and our friends from Arvida Book. Co about the movie and book it’s based on!
