A remake of the 1956 film of the same name, follows health inspector Matthew Bennell (Sutherland) and his colleague Elizabeth Driscoll (Brooke Adams) as they uncover a terrifying alien invasion in San Francisco. Alien spores have fallen to Earth, creating pods that replicate humans, replacing them with emotionless duplicates. As the invasion spreads and more people are replaced, Matthew and Elizabeth, along with a small group of survivors, must evade the pod people and find a way to warn the world.
Nominated for a Hugo Award for Best Dramatic Presentation, Invasion of the Body Snatchers is regarded as a rare remake that is just as potent as the original.
