A sharp and satirical exploration of modern Taipei, the film intertwines the stories of a group of disillusioned young people. A foreigner searching for love, a gangster’s son trying to find his footing in a chaotic world, a cunning businessman, and more are all are drawn into a web of deception, betrayal, and unexpected connections.

Winning an Honorable Mention at the 46th Berlin International Film Festival, Mahjong blends crime, comedy, and drama in its depiction of life in contemporary Taiwan.
