The opening night film for Fennessey Fest is here! Get ready to roll with one of the most beloved cult classics of all time: The Coen Brothers’ 1998 masterpiece The Big Lebowski!

Meet Jeff “The Dude” Lebowski, an easygoing slacker whose laid-back life is turned upside down when he’s mistaken for a wealthy namesake. What follows is a wild, comedic journey through mistaken identities, bowling escapades, and eccentric characters that have made this film a cultural phenomenon. With unforgettable lines, iconic scenes, and a stellar cast—including Jeff Bridges, John Goodman, and Julianne Moore—The Big Lebowski is a cinematic experience you won’t want to miss!

Fennessey Fest is a week-long guest programming takeover from the mind of Sean Fennessey (Head of Content at The Ringer, Host of The Big Picture, and frequent guest on The Rewatchables). We gave him a prompt for four different films: One of his “all-timers” (The Long Goodbye), his favorite cult film (The Big Lebowski), a movie that he thinks needs a re-examination (Under The Silver Lake), and a movie he loved from his childhood (Who Framed Roger Rabbit). These four films (consciously or unconsciously) together yielded a very specific series theme: LA-set neo-noirs. Before each screening, there will be an exclusive introduction pre-recorded by Mr Fennessey, with the exception of Who Framed Roger Rabbit, which will have an in-person introduction as well as a meet-and-greet after the screening!
