As Agent Cooper settles into Twin Peaks, he joins Sheriff Truman, Hawk, and the rest of the department in following early leads connected to Laura Palmer’s death, and the disappearance of Ronette Pulaski. Laura’s classmates struggle to process what has happened, while certain citizens begin to come under closer scrutiny. With emotions running high and suspicion spreading through town, Cooper starts to realize that nearly everyone Laura knew may have been seeing a different side of her.
Season 1, Episode 3 – “Zen, or the Skill to Catch a Killer”

Cooper introduces Sheriff Truman and his deputies to his unorthodox methods, hoping intuition will help unlock details that ordinary police work cannot. At the same time, Audrey Horne’s curiosity leads her to begin poking around on her own, while Donna and James grow closer as they try to make sense of Laura’s hidden life. As dreams, clues, and personal loyalties begin to overlap, the investigation takes on a stranger and more unsettling shape.
