Fennessey Fest heads to Toon Toon, as we present a special screening of Robert Zemekis’ live action-meets-cartoon masterpiece Who Framed Roger Rabbit.

Sean Fennessey (Head of Content at The Ringer, Host of The Big Picture, and frequent guest on The Rewatchables) is joining us for an in-person introduction as well as a meet-and-greet after the film!

Set in a vibrant 1940s Hollywood, the story follows the hapless rabbit, Roger, who is framed for murder. With the help of hard-boiled detective Eddie Valiant, played by the fantastic Bob Hoskins, Roger must clear his name and uncover the real culprit. Featuring iconic characters from both Disney and Warner Bros., this film is a celebration of classic animation and a testament to the magic of storytelling.

Fennessey Fest is a week-long guest programming takeover from the mind of Sean Fennessey (Head of Content at The Ringer, Host of The Big Picture, and frequent guest on The Rewatchables). We gave him a prompt for four different films: One of his “all-timers” (The Long Goodbye), his favorite cult film (The Big Lebowski), a movie that he thinks needs a re-examination (Under The Silver Lake), and a movie he loved from his childhood (Who Framed Roger Rabbit). These four films (consciously or unconsciously) together yielded a very specific series theme: LA-set neo-noirs. Before each screening, there will be an exclusive introduction pre-recorded by Mr Fennessey, with the exception of Who Framed Roger Rabbit, which will have an in-person introduction as well as a meet-and-greet after the screening!
