Qualified Charitable Distributions and Donor Advised Funds

Qualified Charitable Distributions (QCDs)

Do you have to take a Required Minimum Distribution (RMD) on your Individual Retirement Account (IRA) but don’t need to use those funds for your living expenses? If you are over age 70 1/2, you may be eligible to donate up to $108,000 from your account every year by making a Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD).

Because a QCD is a direct transfer of funds from your account to a nonprofit organization, you may be able to exclude the amount of your gift from your federal income taxes. To better understand if a QCD is the right choice for your financial situation, contact a reputable financial advisor or review IRS information on QCDs here.

To make a QCD to The Frida, please contact your IRA custodian for more information on how to begin this process. Your custodian may ask for the following information about The Frida to initiate a QCD:

Legal Name: The Frida Cinema
Address: 305 E. 4th Street, Suite 100 Santa Ana, CA 92701
Federal Tax ID:27-0950151

Donor Advised Funds (DAFs)

The Frida Cinema would be honored to receive a gift from your Donor Advised Fund (DAF). DAFs are an important charitable giving tool sustaining The Frida’s operations and community arts programs.

Please use the following information for The Frida to initiate a distribution request with your fund sponsor:

The Frida Cinema
EIN: 27-0950151
305 E. 4th Street, Suite 100 Santa Ana, CA 92701

We’d also love to celebrate you and your gift! To properly acknowledge your support, please reach out to Porter Gilberg, Director of Development to share your name and/or your fund name.
