Accessibility
The Frida Cinema is committed to ensuring that all guests experience a seamless visit. This page provides more information on our cinema’s physical accessibility, and accessibility options for guests who are hard of hearing and/or guests who are blind or have low vision.
Guest Assistance
Our staff is here to assist all guests. If you require assistance with theater entry, seating, or navigating manual doors, please notify the nearest theater worker at the Box Office. We are always happy to help.
Accessible Parking
The Frida Cinema does not have our own parking lot. Visit our Parking information page for dedicated parking information, including parking rates at the closest lots.
The closest parking lots are City-owned structures accessible from 4th/Spurgeon and 5th/Spurgeon. ADA-accessible parking spaces are available at both parking lots, on the first floor, directly behind the cinema. IMPORTANT: Please park on the first floor of the parking lots directly behind the cinema, as the elevators are often inoperable.
Accessible Seating
Auditorium doors are manually operated and swing forward. Dedicated wheelchair-accessible spaces, along with companion seats, are available in the back rows of both auditoriums.
Companions and Personal Care Assistants
The Frida Cinema provides complimentary admission for Personal Care Assistants (PCAs) accompanying guests requiring assistance. Seating is available on a first-come, first-serve basis at the box office. The Frida Cinema cannot guarantee seating for sold-out screenings. If buying a ticket online, please contact us ahead of time at info@thefridacinema.org or by telephone at 714-285-9422 so The Frida Cinema can reserve a companion or PCA seat for you.
Accessible Entrance
While wheelchair accessible and up to current code, theater entrance doors are not exact to ADA standards. Doors are manually operated and swing forward.
