John Lindahl’s CULT CLASSIQUÉ is a cinematic debut that is determined to entertain. This 80’s psychological thriller/musical is drenched in the aesthetic of cult classic slashers.
On Friday, October 13th 1989, mysterious murders befall the small town of Hargrove. Local law enforcement directs their attention toward Johnny, a high school student with a dark secret who works as a janitor at the local cinema. A cassette tape with songs created by Johnny is recovered and used as evidence in hopes to solve the deadly cases. A story of identity and trauma, John Lindahl’s CULT CLASSIQUÉ is a musical experience like no other.
John Lindahl serves as a multi-hyphenate in his cinematic debut (Starring, Writing, Directing, Producing, Editing, Composing, Sound Design, Choreography, and Original Soundtrack).
Legendary choreographer, Marty Kudelka, serves as Director of Choreography.
Josh Payne, in his directorial debut, Co-Directs and handles all VFX with practicals reminiscent of the classic genre.
