Our Nu-Classics series, hosted by the amazing Maggie Mae Fish, is going digital as we present a special screening of the 1999 science fiction action masterpiece The Matrix. And this month, Maggie is joined by super special guests Team 4 Star for a post-screening discussion!
Keanu Reeves stars as Neo, a computer hacker who discovers that the world he knows is an elaborate illusion…and that the truth is far stranger than he could have imagined.
With Carrie-Anne Moss, Laurence Fishburne, and Hugo Weaving delivering iconic performances, The Matrix is one of those very rare cases of a movie genuinely changing everything that came after it. Beneath the leather coats and slow-motion gunplay, there’s a mind-bending cyberpunk classic that still has plenty to say even 25+ years later.
