The Frida Cinema's seating is first-come, first-serve. For our Midnight Screenings, please plan on arriving by 11:30pm to ensure ample time for parking, picking up concessions, and securing optimal seats. Screening will begin promptly at midnight.

Join The Frida Cinema for a very special Trivia Night: Tournament of Champions! This month is an ultimate trivia competition where individuals and teams compete against prior Trivia Night champions! Featuring five rounds of film trivia, plus a bonus round, Trivia Night is always free and always a good time for film nerds and those that love them.
Think you’ve got what it takes to win the Tournament of Champions? Solo cinephiles and teams of up to six players are invited to play and fundraise for The Frida Cinema at Trivia Night’s first ever championship event. Whether you play, fundraise, or both we’re awarding multiple prize packages at this championship event, including the opportunity to program a film at The Frida!
🎥 Why Fundraise?
We have a goal to raise $10,000 for a new popcorn machine.
TBH, our current machine recently caught fire. Thankfully there was no damage, but we do need to replace the machine. We are committed to continuing to serve the tastiest movie concessions in Orange County minus the risk of catastrophic loss. Popcorn is cheap. A new commercial machine isn’t.
The Frida Cinema is much more than a movie theater. As Orange County’s only nonprofit cinema, tickets and concessions only cover a portion of what it takes to provide affordable, accessible, and curated cinema arts experiences. Your support sustains:
- Programming: Screening more than 500 different films a year attended by more than 100,000 people.
- Community: Free Trivia Night, post-screening discussions and Q&As, lobby art shows, and volunteer and intern opportunities for more than 100 people every week.
- People: The Frida is run by a small and dedicated team who collaborate to create memorable experiences for everyone walking through our doors. From the box office, to our iconic film calendars and pre-show trailers, to our film curation, The Frida’s team is what makes the movie magic happen.
