Terms and Conditions
These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your purchase of tickets from The Frida Cinema, a non-profit art house movie theater. By purchasing tickets through our website, you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms. All ticket sales are final.
Pricing, Payments, Refunds and Exchanges
Ticket prices are as listed on our website and are subject to change without notice. Membership discounts may be available and are subject to specific terms and conditions as outlined per Tier on our website.
Once a ticket is purchased, it cannot be refunded or exchanged.
By providing payment information, you confirm that you are authorized to use the selected payment method and that the information provided is accurate and complete.
For Complimentary/RSVP-Based Events
Please note that we may open a number of tickets that exceeds the number of our seats, given a standard rate of no-shows for free events. If RSVP’s are maxed-out, we may also open a Stand-By Line, but note that we will not begin to allow stand-by guests to enter until right at showtime, and only per the number of seats left open. If you do have an RSVP for a complimentary event, we highly suggest arriving at least 20 minutes prior to showtime to ensure seating.
Admission
Admission to screenings is subject to the theater’s policies, including age restrictions as set by content ratings. Please ensure you comply with these policies to avoid being denied entry.
You may be required to present a valid ID along with your ticket for entry, such as at an R or NC-17 Rated film. The Frida Cinema reserves the right to deny entry without a refund if valid identification is not provided.
Latecomers may be admitted at the discretion of The Frida Cinema staff. However for certain special or live events, entry may be staggered to minimize disturbance to other patrons.
Changes
The Frida Cinema reserves the right to make changes to the scheduled program, including film titles and screening dates and times. We will make reasonable efforts to notify you of any changes, through platforms including our newsletter, website, and social media.
Cancellations
If a screening is canceled, The Frida Cinema will offer a refund or exchange to customers who have paid for a ticket(s).
Conduct, Prohibited Items
Attendees are expected to behave respectfully and comply with theater policies. Disruptive behavior may result in ejection from the theater without a refund.
The Frida Cinema is licensed to make alcohol sales to guests age 21 and older, with valid ID. Please note that The Frida Cinema adheres to a two-drink-maximum per guest at a screening or event. The Frida Cinema reserves the right to prohibit alcohol sales to an individual who is displaying signs of inebriation.
Outside food and beverages, illegal drugs, recording devices, and smoking of any kind are not allowed in the theater.
Liability, Force Majeure
The Frida Cinema is not responsible for any personal injury, property damage, or lost or stolen items occurring at our venue.
The Frida Cinema will not be liable for any failure to perform its obligations under these Terms due to circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including natural disasters, strikes, or other unforeseen events.
Amendments
The Frida Cinema reserves the right to amend these Terms at any time. Any changes will be posted on our website, and your continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the state of California. Any disputes arising from or relating to these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Orange County, California.
