Die My Love

Legendary filmmaker Lynne Ramsay (Ratcatcher, We Need To Talk About Kevin, You Were Never Really Here) is back with a bold and uncompromisingly emotional take on the maternal crisis with her new film Die My Love.

Starring Jennifer Lawrence and Robert Pattinson, the film follows Grace, a writer and young mother, is slowly slipping into madness. Locked away in an old house in and around Montana, we see her acting increasingly agitated and erratic, leaving her companion, Jackson, increasingly worried and helpless.

At the Cannes Film Festival in 2025, Die My Love premiered in competition and earned a lengthy six-minute standing ovation, and many critics are calling Jennifer Lawrence’s performance “fearless” and a “career high”.

Frances Ha

She’s not messy. She’s busy! To celebrate new films coming out this year from directors Noah Baumbach and Greta Gerwig, we are presenting our favorite collaboration between them–the 21st century masterpiece Frances Ha!

Frances is a 27-year-old New Yorker chasing her dream of becoming a dancer long after the world has stopped applauding. When her best friend and roommate Sophie (Mickey Sumner) moves out, Frances stumbles through a series of apartments, odd jobs, and almost-romances in a city that both resists and reshapes her.

Shot in luminous monochrome and pulsing with French New Wave energy, Frances Ha is funny and quietly profound—a portrait of creative uncertainty and the friendships that carry us through it. Baumbach and Gerwig co-wrote the film with such honesty and rhythm that every awkward conversation feels so horrifyingly alive.

Perfect Blue

Master animator Satoshi Kon’s masterpiece, Perfect Blue, returns to The Frida’s screen for some well-deserved encores! If you missed it the first time around, come see this amazing restoration from our friends at GKIDS on the big screen!

Former pop idol Mima Kirigoe (voiced by Junko Iwao) leaves her idol group to pursue acting. But as she trades microphones for movie sets, the lines between her past and present blur: a mysterious website chronicling her every move appears, an obsessed fan creeps closer, and the roles she plays begin to swallow who she thought she was. The camera follows Mima into a mirror-maze of perception and performance, where even the reflection cannot be trusted.

Rich with acute unease, Perfect Blue remains a landmark of adult animation—its influence stretching from horror to cinema and animation alike. With every cut-frame and every whispered echo, it undermines the fantasy of stardom and forces the audience to ask: Who am I when they’re watching?
